Many people have an appearance of dark circles on the lower eyelids, and they have many different causes. Experts and studies have linked dark circles to graver problems like anemia, liver disease and dehydration.
Do you Know how dark circles appear?
We have tiny blood vessels, which are like a web under the skin. But these capillaries are so fine that the red blood cells queue up to pass through; in the process some of them leak in the surrounding area. Enzymes are produced during the cleaning up session. The breaking down of these red blood cells leaves them black and blue. The reason why this is so visible is that the skin around the eyes is the thinnest.
Causes Of Dark Circles:-
- Genetics:- Family history also plays a part in developing dark circles under your eyes. It can be an inherited trait seen early in childhood, and may worsen as you age or slowly disappear.
- Aging: Natural aging is another common cause of those dark circles beneath your eyes. As this occurs, the dark blood vessels beneath your skin become more visible causing the area below your eyes to darken.
- Sleep Deprivation:- can cause your skin to become dull and pale, allowing for dark tissues and blood vessels beneath your skin to show.
Lack of sleep can also cause fluid to build underneath your eyes, causing them to appear puffy. As a result, the dark circles you see may actually be shadows cast by your puffy eyelids.

How to prevent them :-
1)Have a diet rich in iron and vitamin C will improve your haemoglobin content and reduce your dark circles. Vitamin C aids the absorption of iron by the body. Dried beans, dried fruits, eggs (especially egg yolks), iron-fortified cereals, liver, lean red meat, oysters, poultry, salmon, tuna, and whole grains are rich in iron. Include citrus fruits, tomatoes, peppers, melon, and spinach for vitamin C.
